Presently, a lot of hype surrounds the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pakistan. We keep hearing news of more incubators opening up or more investment deals closing. However, as an active player in this industry for last 4-5 years, Social Innovation Lab (SIL) felt that this hype does not adequately reflect on the current status of our ecosystem. A lot of gaps and challenges go unreported which does not help the ecosystem in the long-run. So SIL decided to dig deep and explore the strengths, weaknesses and relationships of all the key stakeholders in the industry (namely startups, incubators and investors) in order to create the first ever authentic piece of research on Pakistaan's startup ecosystem. This book presents data from 202 startups, 22 incubators & accelerators, 7 investment groups and 43 industry experts and thus, offers a lot of new insights into how our ecosystem is operating and where it is lacking.
