The relatively modern subject of geopolitics requires a non-Western perspective. The non-West has not only suffered under the political and economic domination of former colonizers and the victors of the two world wars, but it has also faced a lack of self-expression, forcing states to conform to and propagate a politically correct narrative that originates from the West and secures its interests at the expense of others. The need is to offer geopolitics as a subject in universities, so that scarcity of valuable research, leading to a superficial narrative often misaligned with the history and ideology of nations, is avoided. Such misalignment often disconnects countries from the regional and global perspectives at the level of an inside-out approach. This book aims to address this gap by building on historical and contemporary global politics, creating a foundation for critiquing and revising the narratives used by powerful states to control and oppress weaker ones. The work seeks to challenge the prescribed geopolitical narrative from the institutionalized West, offering a framework for the East to envision its future. It is a radical but essential work that will set readers on a journey of discovery and awe similar to the one experienced by the author.
