A book on human resource management in industries of Pakistan was launched at a ceremony held here on Monday evening under the auspices of PAF-Karachi Institute of Economics and technology. It has been authored by Raza Kamal, an Assistant Professor in the College of Management Sciences. It was pointed out on the occasion that numerous public and private universities offer business administration, a mature discipline in Pakistan.
However, there is scarcity of indigenous textbooks in this discipline. The ceremony was attended by professors/management from other universities in Karachi besides the student community. The textbook has been published by Higher education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, under the Book Writing Scheme launched by HEC. The manuscript went through a rigorous evaluation before publication. HEC Islamabad will distribute copies to universities itself.
