To understand the philosophy of policing is not the cup of
tea of everyone. It needs deep down thoughts, soft and painful heart and
selfless dedication to uplift and develop the society. After combining all the
traits then philosophy of policing would emerge on the surface of country. It
is the name of a passion to serve the people irrespective of cast and creed,
not to rule and command.
There were so many important persons in the world who are still remembered for their contribution to raise Police force. In this context, the monograph records General Charles Napier who annexed Sindh with British India tin 1843 and raised the first modern "Scinde Police Force’. British Prime Minister Robert Peel, US General Douglas, McArthur of Japan; Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew as creator of modern Singapore, and Prime Minister General Park Cheng Hee of modern South Korea, would be remembered for their singular contribution to modernize and transform police force.
Presently, our Sindh government has passed an Act on 26th June
2019 with the title Sindh Act No. XI of 2019, “The Sindh (Repeal of the Police
Act, 1861 and Revival of Police order, 2002) (Amendment) Act, 2019" for
the betterment of society.
This book would be more knowledgeable for police officers
who have scant or no knowledge about the history of Sindh Police so I request
Chief Minister, Sindh and Inspector General of Police, Sindh to include this
valuable, informative and authentic book in the syllabus of Sindh Police
Training Institutions for the better understanding of our future police
officers. .. I wish all the best to Muhammad Tariq Mughal, the living legend of
police force, who authored altogether twelve books, for his excellent
contribution towards Police department which will be remembered nationally and
internationally for the decades to come.
Salute to Martyred (Shauhda) of Sindh Police
