Gateway to Serenity is a book about my journey of discoveries and sweet victories of learning to navigate culture and language, finding my love for the outdoors, and the heart-warming kindness of the locals. I knew my life would never be the same; something in me had changed and a city life would never be enough. Traveling seems to give me a near constant adrenaline rush. When traveling it is not always smooth sailing, but the bumps along the road really help you to discover what you want out of travel, and what you don't want.This travel journal is about my first trip to Gilgit Baltistan - the most spectacular region of Pakistan, known for its geography, scenic beauty and majestic mountains. It is about what I learned, and the experiences I had. It is a collection of adventures, stories, memories and discovery.
