Madman, tyrant, animal-history has given Adolf Hitler many names. After facing rejection from art schools in Vienna, Hitler became a labourer and later on was awarded for bravery in the First World War. He quickly rose to power and established himself as Chairman of the National Socialist German Worker's party. An unsuccessful attempt to overthrow the Bavarian government in Munich landed him in prison for nine months. During his time in jail, an embittered and frustrated Hitler dictated a personal manifesto to his loyal follower Rudolph Hess. He vented his sentiments against communism and the Jewish people in this document, which was to become Mein Kampf, the controversial book that is seen as the blue-print for Hitler's political and military campaign. Mein Kampf, (My Struggle) is a political manifesto written byAdolf Hitler in which he describes his life, frustrations, ideals, and dreams. It was his only complete book, and the work became the bible of National Socialism (Nazism) in Germany's Third Reich.
