In the twentieth century, despite colonial dominance, Islamic revival movements emerged in different regions of the world, which took on the task of reshaping Islamic thought in response to contemporary ideologies. Despite verbal and geographical distances, a unity of thought existed among the leaders of these movements, and Islam as a system of life was their common slogan.
Professor Khurshid Ahmad is one of the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan who has maintained close relations with Islamic movements around the world. The book in question, Yaadein unki, Baatein Hamari, contains glimpses of this closeness. The duration of writing these articles spans the past six decades.
