Naeem Pasha is one of Pakistan's leading architects with a body of work spanning over five decades. He is the recipient of one of Pakistan's highest civilian awards, Tamgah-e-Imtiaz, in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to art and culture, including the design of the Pakistan National Art Gallery. He is also the recipient of UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage award. As well he has received the Institute of Architects Pakistan Lifetime Achievement Award. His list of design accomplishments includes Peshawar's Museum and Department of Archaeology at Peshawar University and the Pakistan Air Force Academy in Risalpur. Pasha's State Life Building in the capital of Islamabad has been likened to a sculpture, an art piece. He designed St Thomas Church, a multi-denominational Christian Church in the capital as well as the Arts and Crafts Village, a series of structures designed to celebrate the traditions and skills of Pakistan's artisans. He has been a driving force behind Pakistan's visual art expression and is one of the founders of Rohtas Contemporary Art Gallery, which gave space and opportunity to generations of artists. His affiliations include member board of governor Pakistan National Council of the Arts; founding member Classical Music Heritage Society; founder member Conservation and Rehabilitation Center for Preservation of Historical Monuments A poet, Pasha's books Tulips in Sand Dunes and Dhool Ki Chadar, celebrates his English and Urdu poetry. A renowned painter, Pasha is a true renaissance man.
