Dr Talat Azad Born in Pakistan and educated in Pakistan and the United Kingdom, Dr. Talat Azad completed her doctorate in education research at King’s College London. She straddles two cultures, and her work in both countries has helped shape her vision and perspective. In the last three decades, Dr. Talat has moved from special and inclusive education to equality and inclusion, the rights of the disabled, women empowerment, early intervention, and early childhood education. I Was Written Off is Dr. Talat’s first book and is based on the real-life stories of six courageous women who, against all odds, have battled and succeeded in their chosen profession.
