While still in school, Raazia started a Comprehensive Writing diploma course with the Writers’ Bureau, UK. Then, when a classmate died in a tragic car crash, she wrote an article, Teenagers and Bereavement, which was published by Times of Oman’s popular THURSDAY magazine. In 2013, she participated in a nationwide literary contest organized by Times of Oman. Raazia (then 19) submitted in the 18+ adult category. Her story Blue Book was named one of the ten honorary mentions of the contest.
