Sally Nex worked as a journalist on BBC radio, television, and World Service for 15 years. Since leaving the BBC, she has devoted herself to horticulture, qualifying to RHS Level 3 and gaining a planting design diploma. Sally writes, teaches, and gives talks on veg growing, self-sufficiency, and sustainable gardening. She is a regular contributor and columnist for BBC Gardeners' World magazine, the RHS journal The Garden, Grow Your Own, and The Guardian.
