Stephen Younger has written extensively on public policy, physics, anthropology, history, and theology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in physics from the Catholic University of America and Master’s and PhD degrees in physics from the University of Maryland. Most recently, he has earned a Master’s degree in theology from St. Stephen’s Academy. He has served in a variety of senior positions in the national security and science communities, including Director of Sandia National Laboratories, Director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Senior Associate Director for National Security at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and President of National Security Technologies, LLC. His interests span a wide range of topics, from the anthropology of small Pacific islands to the future of nuclear weapons in national defense
