Ali Blood spent years as a crime reporter in London. He covered murders, terrorist attacks, robberies and riots for various newspapers. He also opted out of journalism for a while in order to raise money for a mortgage – working as a 'Del-Boy' fly-pitcher, selling jewellery from a suitcase on the streets of the capital.
His next career move was into television news as a producer before setting up his own TV production company. He’s always had a passion for crime fiction and is now a full-time author living in Hampshire – where he pours blood, sweat and tears into his writing
