Professor Roy Taylor is Director of Magnetic Resonance Centre and Honorary and Consultant Physician at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He qualified in Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. In 1990-91 he learned the techniques of applying MRI to human disease as visiting Professor of Medicine at Yale University, USA, and then returned to the UK and raised GBP5.2 million to establish the Newcastle MR Centre. He is the author of over 300 scientific papers.
