Lauren Tobia studied Illustration at the University of the West of England. Whilst there she was Highly Commended for the Macmillan Children's Book Prize. Lauren's first book was A Heart for Ruby by Franzeska G Ewart, quickly followed by the successful Anna Hibiscus series by Atunuke (Walker)
