Before starting to write children's books, I worked as a primary school teacher and then as a museum educator in some very weird and wonderful collections. I have lived in London for the last 15 years but am about to return, with my family, to North Lincolnshire (where both my husband and I grew up). We are looking forward to our little cockney children re-learning how to say words like 'grass', 'bath' and 'water'.
