Author Information:

Safdar Nensey, the author, a petroleum engineer by profession, has worked in Pakistan and the Middle East for more than 36 years in both the oil and gas exploration and the production sector. Safdar Nensey's books, including this one, are borne out of his passion for collecting antiques and his attempts to string together the ephemera collected by him over the years to bring forth a vivid narrative. He collects a range of items, from postcards to rare manuscripts and rare and ancient coins. Besides piecing together history through his hobby of collecting antiques, he enjoys reading, particularly related to the history of the Indian sub-continent and the Holy Land. Safdar has four other published books to his credit: From Kurrachee to Karachi [2019]. The Lore of Lahore [2020], Hajj - A Journey Back in Time [2023] and Jerusalem - The Signs of the Sacred, The Imprints of the Real [2023]. He has also authored the article Wild Boys - HSE: From Chaos to Control, published in BP's Middle Eastern journal in 2009. Safdar lives in Karachi with his wife, Nilofer, and has three grownup children.
