Author Shri Surjit Singh Lamba was born in Mohalla Imambara, Rawalpindi, on 7th March 1931, where people from all religions championed the cause of communal harmony and lived in peace. The family migrated to India at the time of partition in 1947 and settled in Delhi permanently. Shri. Lamba was a senior officer in the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. He is decorated with titles of “Aashiq-e-rasod,” “Hafiz-e-Iqbal” and “Ambassador of Peace”. Shri. Lamba has dedicated his life in the service of humanity and has equal respect for all religions. I am glad that Urdu scholars and lovers of Allama Iqbal appreciated my work and welcomed the book.
