Sabyn Javeri is an award-winning short story writer and author of the novels Nobody Killed Her (2017) and Hijabistan (2019). She edited the Arzu Anthology of Student Voices (2018). Her short stories on the topics of gender, class, and the immigrant experience, as well as her texts on creative writing, have been widely published. Her research is currently exploring the works of forgotten literary heroes of the subcontinent and developing a discourse related to cultural identity through creative writing. She holds a Master’s from Oxford University and a PhD from the University of Leicester. She is currently the Programme Director of the Arzu Centre for Literature and Languages at Habib University, Karachi.
